Karma, whats that?

Have I upset some cosmic force? This is the question I found myself pondering earlier. Heres why...An urgent sample arrived at 4:55pm five minutes before I finish work. 'What the hell, I'll only be a couple of minutes late out if I do it' I thought. So I set to work preparing the sample and one by one *every* single item of equipment in the laboratory that I needed to use broke down. In short I ended up running round just about every lab in the hospital looking for the kit I needed and finally left work at 6:00!
Of course the true injustice is that I was only doing sample prep as a favour to a colleague who had wanted to leave early!
