The Rats!The Rats in the walls!

I just got woken up by Jude telling me that there were mice all over the video shelf. My semi-conscious mind conjured up all kinds of images from The Rats before I really took in what he was saying. I staggered downstairs to find that Loki (my hamster) had broken out of his cage and was cheerfully climbing all over the video collection. He was obviously enjoying his freedom, as I had to spend a good five minutes chasing him around the living room before I caught him. All in alll, far too much excitement for this time in the morning.

The Case of the Vanishing Rabbit

On Monday night we put Jude to bed with his favorite cuddly toy, Miffy the rabbit. On Tuesday morning I heard Jude get up and go downstairs a couple of minutes before I got up. After about half an hour Jude started asking me for Miffy. I looked around and couldn't find her anywhere. When Avalon got up she also looked for Miffy. She also failed to find her.
This was a bad thing. Jude adores Miffy and doesn't like to go anywhere without her or go to sleep unless he has her.
So Avalon spent the entire day tearing the house apart looking for the rabbit. Jude had only had about five minutes to lose her in, we thought. How could she have disappeared?
At the end of the day we still hadn't found her. We looked in the garden, we checked every room in the house, we even asked the neighbors. But we still couldn't find her. After a couple of days we gave up and bought a replacement, which jude seemed happy with.
And then, as we were watching Eastenders tonight we found her.
