Sep. 15th, 2002 10:22 amOnce again I am feeling a little bit dead :-)
Myself and
brenin_llwyd went to the Gothic Metal night at the Underworld yesterday. Four bands were watched and much beer was drunk.
We only caught the end of the Descendants of Cain but they sounded like good, old fashioned goth rock. Next up were Seasons End, who were pretty good. Nice ethereal/ operatic vocals over some chunky metal guitars. Killing Miranda were in good form and were obviously having fun with a new effects box. They seem to be getting heavier every time I see them, this is not a bad thing. Theatres des Vampires headlined, they were very poppy and certainly did not sound at all like Cradle of Filth < /sarcasm >.
The gig finished incredibly early (22:20) so we popped into the Dev for a quick pint on the way home and had to resist the temptation to head off to Slimes afterwards. Tempting as the offer was we did not succumb.
*Yawn*
I could really use a few hours more sleep.
