Mar. 16th, 2003 03:52 pmA very quick round up of the weekend, as it's a lovely day and I want to go and sit in the garden :-)
Friday: Tedious day at work followed by a long and nasty journey to Oxford. Upon arriving in Oxford I met up with the Avalonian and went to the Gloc for drinkies with
florence90. It was lovely to catch up with her. I've got a feeling that we hadn't seen each other in well over a year.
I was quite surprised to find myself being impressed by the DJ. He played a decent mix of modern metal/nu-metal mixed in with older rockier stuff and managed to make my night by playing Queen Adreena's 'Pretty Like Drugs' followed by 'Love Your Money' by Daisy Chainsaw.
Saturday: Got up and pootled into town for the traditional 'Heart attack inna bun' from the covered market and then spent lots of money in Borders. We then headed down to the Cowley Road with the intention of getting my nipples pierced. I was more than a little edgey due to psyching myself up for it and thus was horrifically dissapointed to find out that Chris Needletree was off work with a cold! Oh well, it looks like I'll probably go to Cold Steel instead. Maybe next weekend.
On the bright side I did get to go to Gameskeeper and spend lots of money :-) I picked up copies of Demon: the Fallen, Caines chosen: The Black Hand and State of Grace.
Following the trip to Gameskeeper we popped into the Star for a swift pint. Whilst sitting in the garden playing with the cat we came up with a particularly silly bet. One of us may share the details of said bet sooner or later ;-)
In the evening I met up with
sebastian_lux for beers and lengthy discussions of many things. The major upshot of this is that the Reformed Order of the Holy Goat will soon be unleashed upon the world...
Sunday: Breakfast at Tescos and a coach journey home. I feel that the rest of the day will be best spent lazing around doing very little.
