Displays, deadlines and dentists.

The presentation I had to do yesterday did not go well. To be precise, my half of it went excellently but overran. This left my partner with a very short period of time into which to fit her section. The blame can all be squarely layed at my feet, I should have been keeping an eye on the clock. The reason I wasn't is that I was trying a slightly different style from my normal one. Instead of cramming loads of information into the Powerpoint display and then talking about what was onscreen I used a very simple slideshow and then improvised the whole talk. This went really well and felt a lot more comfortable. Oh well. hopefully I'll still scrape a pass mark.
Other annoyances from yesterday include having a deadline moved forward (which will prevent me from going to Dark is Rising this weekend) and the most uncomfortable lecture theatre in the world.
Todays annoyance is a nasty bout of toothache that has led to me taking the day off work in the hope of getting an emergency dentists appointment.
( A quick quiz whilst I wait for the Dentist to answer the phone )
