So: what five books would best define you? If you could send someone a package of five books to prepare them to know you, or explain yourself, which would you choose? Why?
I've given this one a lot of thought. Then I decided I was over thinking it. So here are the five which immediately come to mind:
* The Werewolves of London - Brian Stableford
* The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath - H. P. Lovecraft
* The Dark is Rising - Susan Cooper (Both the individual book and the entire five book sequence)
* Dune - Frank Herbert
* The Illuminatus! Trilogy - Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea
For extra credit you could also read:
* Diagnostic Cytopathology (2nd Edition) - Winifred Gray (Editor)
* General and Systematic Pathology (3rd Edition) - J. C. E. Underwood (Editor)
* Molecular Biology of the Cell (4th Edition) - Alberts, et al
* Condensed Chaos - Phil Hine
* Vampire: the Masquerade (Revised Edition) - Various authors
The fiction tells you more about who I am, the non-fiction is more about what I do.
