We just got back from a visit to the Medicine Man exhibition at the British Museum. I can honestly say that it was one of the most enthralling displays I have ever been around, everything from ancient Japanese sex aids to Egyptian canopic jars to 18th century medical diagrams to olde English methods for removing earwigs from peoples ears. A truly excellent way to spend an afternoon.

I would strongly recommend any of you who have even a passing interest in medicine to go and have a look. It is on until the 16th of November and admission is free.

My attempt to go to get an early night failed spectacularly. I made the mistake of starting to read book five of Preacher (Dixie Fried) and ended up reading the whole damn thing :-)

Now I'm back on the computer and feeling surprisingly awake...
