Long, long, hot, sweaty day at work. Our lead consultant has been on holiday for the last week. To make up for this he arranged appointments for as many patients as possible today. The ensuring riot of samples from people with unsightly lumps and bulges kept me busy in the hazard (sample prep) room from 12:00 until 17:10. This wouldn't have been too bad, except for the fact that the hazard room is only just bigger than a cupboard, has no windows and managed to maintain an average temperature of 35 degrees celsius all day.

I want a swimming pool to collapse into.
