Oct. 6th, 2004 07:32 pmIt has come to my attention that people are often amazed by gaps in my literary and film knowledge. People often assume that being the person I am I must have read and seen certain books/movies. Often the reason that I haven't is that I was not aware of their existence. When I do find out about such movies/ books I often track them down and am amazed by how good they are.
One example of this was my reading of Transmetropolitan last year. Everyone was surprised to learn I hadn't read it before and I absolutely adored it.
Another example is the film The Goonies, to many peoples amazement Ive never seen it. I intend to fix this soon and expect to enjoy it.
In the interest of furthering my knowledge would some of you good people be so kind as to recommend some films/books that you would assume I must have seen/read but think I may have missed?
Cheers :-)
