Curl up and dye

I now have nice exceptionally dark blue hair. This is a good thing.

Over the course of the last few months I have been slowly clawing my way back to being my usual bouncy self. With the help of the ever-radiant avalon_bliss I have just about managed to do this. Now if I can just get this sodding cold to go away...

Where did you get the dark blue dye from? I have trouble finding deep bright colours that actually stick and are less temporary than fading after two washes!

In the light of morning it is much more black than blue, although there are blue highlights when the sun catches it right.
I used L'oreal Feria 21 Starry Night.

Oh I was after a more definite sort of colour. Those "stargazer" ones just don't seem to cut it which is an arse. Hmm actually I am sure I have seen some jerome russell ones. Jerome Russell brand is famed for their bleaches. I wonder if it means that their dyes are permanent.

I wasn't after anything too blue. It had to be dark enough to pass for black so as not to scare the patients :-)

stargazer last about 3 days and is imho crap... la riché's directions have very good colours, but only last about a week... i'm currently using special effects dye from america which lasts 3-4 weeks. it has very strong colours, although you should get toner otherwise it comes out very dark... i also noticed up in york there was manic panic on sale; i thought that stuff went out of business in ~1985, so not sure what going on there. i've heard good stuff about the colours, but again it only last about a week apparently.

there's another one i can't remember, sold in the sort of place that sells stargazer, which is even worse than stargazer and should be avoid with a very big stick. can't remember what it's called though. hope that helps :-)
