This morning was spent in a very boring fashion. We had a three hour lecture, in one of the computer rooms, on how to search for information on the 'net and the libraries database system. *Yawn*. It never ceases to amaze me that despite my utter lack of any skill with computers, I am always one of the few people in sessions like this who already knows what we are being taught. On the bright side this did give me some extra time to research for my essay.
The afternoon was a lot more entertaining. We had a very enthusiastic guest lecturer covering Mendelian genetics, mutations and cancer.
Now I just have to get myself into gear and write the bloody essay so that I can relax at the weekend.

2. You are willing to learn new things.
3. You are willing to experiment even if it means breaking something.
4. You are surrounded by people with a high degree of computer literacy.
Most Scientists I know at work are unwilling to unable to follow the first three.
