I know very little about some of the people on my Friends list. Some people I know relatively well. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say, 'Ah, there's so and so - she likes office supplies and hentai.'

I'd love it if every single person who Friended me would do this (although I hardly expect this to happen). Yes, even you people who I know really well.

I have two children whom I live with, and two boyfriends (in a kind of polyfi V arrangement) whom I don't. My thirteen year old daughter is the reason I haven't had a 'proper' job (I had her when I was sixteen) and my seven year old son is severely autistic.

I was with my anti-social ex-husband for ten years, I'm very pleased that I'm not with him any more, and I'm currently making up for lost socialising time. :)

I've recently learned to ride a motorbike which had been a childhood ambition of mine, though my bike (a 400cc supersports CBR) scares me a bit.

In September I'm going to start my second year of volunteering to help out at my son's special needs school, after taking a years break due to a drop in class sizes.

I met Jo because she's Amber's friend. Amber went to college with me (although she was a year below me). For several years I did not know that you were the father of Avalon's child. I am a 6’3” follicly-challenged , beardy fecker with a mischievous sense of humour, appalling memory, no self-organisational skill, delusions of grandeur and a monotone dress sense (unless it’s emergency washing time).

I enjoy reading exceptionally slowly, thinking about all the cool things I’m never going to get round to doing, cheating at computer games and pretending to be people I’m not.

I have been accused of being to as an eccentric (or freak), an epicureist (or greedy bastard), self confident (over confident) and a paradox (annoyingly contradictory).
My favourite book is “American Gods” by Niel Gaimon, film is “Sin City”, colour is black, and number is sometimes 23.

When I was a child I used to spend whole days with my friends devising new ways to dismember and otherwise torture crane flies. We once filled an entire 1 litre glass lemonade bottle with them after pulling the wings and legs off of one side on them all. Then we set fire to them.

I'm expecting the karmic retribution to be quite severe, so I try to make the most of this life ;)

My life seems to surge through some very strongly defined phases. To a large extent, they're defined by who I'm emotionally and/or physically involved with at the time. If I'm not involved in a regular sexual relationship with someone I care about then I tend get very depressed quite easily. I still haven't worked out of if this is a character flaw or a character feature.

Mostly I just view it as a good reason to look out for fun people to get involved with :)

My personal motto is 'carpe diem'. It's far from original, but some things become cliches for good reason.
